you look good, you perform good.

So today I got all dressed up in my nerd gear, or as I say, I nerd’d up. Wore some nice dress pants, long sleeve v-neck with dress shirt under with sharp dress shoes. The reason being that there was an Architectural Networking Seminar where a bunch of representatives from big firms in Toronto come and talk about their companies.

So I figure if I look presentable, maybe they’ll consider me in the future. Got up and out this morning, woke up early, did a bit of homework and was out the door. It felt good riding the bus in that kind of clothes, because not only did I feel good, it was pretttty damn comfortable. I would wear these pants to sleep, so breezy.. haha.

Plus carrying my OBC, sketchbook, I gotta say, I felt full of myself, despite riding the bus <_<. (I used to think I would just ride the bus as an Architect, but like my friend Kent said, I’m not in Japan. LOL. So true. I gotta get a car.)

I gotta say, I haven’t been doing all that great in school. Well, not as good as I would like or as good as I think I should be doing. So I was a little hesitant writing my OBC (Ontario Building Code) quiz, cause I missed a week and a half of school due to flu, so I was totally behind and off my hidges.

The section we were going through was Renovations and this section is so difficult to understand, our professor gave out the last quiz out as a take-home and most of the people didn’t understand it, and evidently he decided not to count it. Mudda fucka.

Anyway, back to the topic. I came in 40 mins late, had noo idea what the hell I was doing, but I managed to get 90% on my quiz. Awesome. And I honestly believe it was due to my clothes. I felt professional, so I was relaxed and performed well.

And after slacking for so long during my lab classes, today I actually spent a good amount of time working.

Clothes are magical!
