red light, green light.
okay, I must confess! I haven’t got my G2 License yet. It’s been almost 4 years since I got my G1. (or for those Americans, your learners permit or something?) Anyway, I don’t know why I’m not motivated or desiring to drive. I initially figured I wouldn’t need to learn how to drive, and just ride the TTC (Toronto Transit Commision) for the rest of my career or life? I have no problem riding buses and trains, it’s actually enjoyable for me. Something different everytime, and when I was single, I used to totally eye the girls on the bus. (not anymore of course ;)) Who knows who you’ll run into on the bus, you could be on your way home then bamm.. run into someone, and the next thing you know, you’re off chillin somewhere different with a fresh face. Good stufffff. Of course the downside of public transit is the possibility of cramp spaces, smelly people or ugly people! (just kidding)
Reminds me of the time I was waiting for the bus at Kennedy Station and this asshole was giving the driver a hard time for God know’s what. He pretty much thought it was his call to tell her when she can take her break or not. Yeah okay asshole. So I went to take the 57 Midland Bus and this old fuck shoves a like 11 year old Chinese boy (WHILE his mother was there!) out of the way and has the nerve to act like he didn’t do anything wrong and stares him down after they’re like WTF? MAN I just felt like dropping some old guys that day. Pisses me offfff.
Anyway, I tend to deviate. So yeah, I’m working today and I’m in the moving truck with this old Russian man who speaks like .05% English to me the entire day, so I’m directing him with like hand gestures and sceaming for my life while he’s doing like reverses in the middle of the road. He couldn’t understand the single letter things on automatic cars. Y’know D, R, P, N etc. So I pretty much had to handle that for him while he drove.
So I think to myself, whoa, I never really practiced driving in a car, but I already knew so much of the road rules and all this and that. Drivings probably going to be a sinch. Just gotta find someone to let me use their car, since I live alone away from home, can’t really go down there to learn how to drive while I possible work 1-7 days a week depending on whether.
And with my G1 License about to expire in December 2010, I think I managed to ignite my desire to pursuit my G2 then my G. And if I got the dough, my M1, M2 and eventually my M License. Badassssssss. I would for sure buy a bike to drive around Toronto. The whole G2/G is only for convenience, like when my friend’s are too tired to drive or if my girlfriend just wants to kick back.
Vroom Vrooom!
