three months. (part 4)

you know, I think the easiest time to talk to your other half is when you’re laying in bed together. For me, it’s usually the next morning when the suns lighting up the room and it’s all quiet. I love the morning, so peaceful. It’s just you and her. No distractions, nothing.

There’s something about being there that just lowers defenses and makes it easier to say what’s on your mind, or do what you feel like. The obvious reason is you’re just in such close proximity, you can’t help but feel comfortable with one another. (I hope)

With that said, one of the hardest questions I think I ever had to answer was, “why do you like me?” For some, it’s easy, they’ll just shoot the shit and be happy with that answer. I had it a bit harder. Didn’t know what she wanted to hear, but I told her what I could come up with (not lie) on the spot. I’m not good with thinking that deep on the spot, I think myself as a spontaneous person, whether it’s cracking jokes, quoting random discovery channel animal facts or something that would make her smile and laugh. But this! required more thinking and had to be carefully worded. The worse reply is like “ohhh *silence*” I die a little inside.

This question came up numerous times. I don’t think it was cause she was insecure, far from that (she’s the most secure person I know) Maybe she just needed something to keep her happy all day. I don’t know, just guessing.

It’s much easier to sit here and think about it now, reading it out and stuff. Don’t know if she reads this, but maybe it’ll make her feel nice if she does. I originally planned to blog about all the stuff I like about her, but instead of spoiling it like that and feeling like a coward, and if she’s still around long enough for me to be where I want to be, I’ll do it in a romantic way! (girl’s still like the romantics right? haha)

*note: even though this blog is called three months, it’s been over four.
