day one - introduce yourself
my real name is Phonephong Dith, although when I moved to Toronto, I opted for a easier name to avoid any issues (which I’m sure helped a lot). Some of my friends call me that or Phil, something I came up with RIGHTTT before attendance during my first class of College, and it stuck enough that I respond to it easily, although it’s been four years. born april 11th 1988, I’m not...

forty-five days later
So forty-five days I ago, I decided to just snap out of this lazy funk and start working out again, specifically the P90X cycle, then I discovered Shaun T’s insanity. Not only was I going to just work out, I was going to eat much better, start with a 7 day cleanse and double it up by doing both Insanity and P90X each day, in what I call PP-sanity90X (lol).
I tell everyone it’s been an...

woo hoo, just bought a SLR camera, that's right....
Something I always wanted to own. The fully manual ones where you have to wind each time you snap.. fun stuff to me. I picked up the Nikon FM10 for under $500 which included a zoom lens, filter and film from Pacific Mall.
The Nikon FM10 is about 15 years old, it has a nice vintage look to it (although it is vintange). It’s nice because it just has your essential dials for shutter speed and...

so I’ve been working at this firm for the last 2 weeks or so, it’s been an amazing learning experience. you get a good sense of what it’s like to be in the industry and what is expected.. well actually you don’t reallly get a feel for it.. not me atleast, I don’t know if I’m working faster or slower than what is expected, but maybe I’ll find out down the...

how to make a girl happy and vice versa.
It’s not difficult to make a woman happy.
A man only needs to be:
1. a friend 2. a companion 3. a lover 4. a brother 5. a father 6. a master 7. a chef 8. an electrician 9. a carpenter 10. a plumber 11. a mechanic 12. a decorator 13. a stylist 14. a sexologist 15. a gynecologist 16. a psychologist 17. a pest exterminator 18. a psychiatrist 19. a healer 20. a good listener 21. an organizer 22. a...
you look good, you perform good.
So today I got all dressed up in my nerd gear, or as I say, I nerd’d up. Wore some nice dress pants, long sleeve v-neck with dress shirt under with sharp dress shoes. The reason being that there was an Architectural Networking Seminar where a bunch of representatives from big firms in Toronto come and talk about their companies. So I figure if I look presentable, maybe they’ll...

random update.
I haven’t updated in awhile, and for the random people who stumble upon this, I figure I might aswell do something about it. I’m in St.Catharines for the weekend at my parents house for thanksgiving. I’ve been too busy with school to update this or even use the computer for that matter (aside for the time I’m on the computer for like eight hours a day at school). So in...

you'll never guess where i am! (.. oh wait)
Ever since I got my Blackberry, I was itching to get the whole data plan and perks that come along with owning a Blackberry. So maybe a few weeks ago, I finally did it, and the first thing I did was download the GPS software or Google Maps. The awesome thing about Google Maps, it has this thing called Google Latitude which pretty much is the coolest thing I think about the whole GPS thingy. For...

four months. (part 5)
It’s funny how things turn out the way they do, and how things can easily change in an instant. whether it’s your feelings or it’s just everything around you. I usually thought that if I’m feeling something good, like that nothing can change the way things are going that day, something bad was eventually going to happen. About a few days ago I felt the opposite. It was...
cash rules everything around me.
alright so I’ve been making some pretty good money on the days I do work. $15 to $20 cash an hour, not bad right? Today I helped this guy build his deck, bammm.. $200 that day. A few weeks ago, helped a woman demolish and prep her kitchen for renovation, another $200 that day. But why the eff can’t I account for the spending? I’ve kept track of my hours and the payouts each day,...

red light, green light.
okay, I must confess! I haven’t got my G2 License yet. It’s been almost 4 years since I got my G1. (or for those Americans, your learners permit or something?) Anyway, I don’t know why I’m not motivated or desiring to drive. I initially figured I wouldn’t need to learn how to drive, and just ride the TTC (Toronto Transit Commision) for the rest of my career or life? I...

algonquinn national park. (canada)
So one day we decided to go hiking, we figure out who’s going, figure the ride situation and set a time to leave Toronto at 10am. unfortunately, it was just four. My friends Jeffrey, Allan and our friend Kai’s brother (who’s in China now) Vincent. The man easily weighs over three hundred pounds. (no problem?) Choice of ride? a 2007 BMW 745li. $100,000 (when brand new) luxuary car...
three months. (part 4)
you know, I think the easiest time to talk to your other half is when you’re laying in bed together. For me, it’s usually the next morning when the suns lighting up the room and it’s all quiet. I love the morning, so peaceful. It’s just you and her. No distractions, nothing.
There’s something about being there that just lowers defenses and makes it easier to say...
finally.
after a grueling three months of searching, I have landed myself a job that I actually enjoy. It’s perfect for me. I get the chance to work outside or indoors, so for the last week I spent around twenty hours remodeling a backyard (the owner was a bitch, wanting all these adjustments upon nearing completion of areas) and another eight hours demolishing a kitchen (did it faster than I thought...

three months (part 3)
Okay, it’s been awhile since I’ve updated this whole three months blog. I’m not entirely sure why I felt like I had to write about my current relationship. Maybe it’s cause it’s something I think about everyday, just as all my past relationships. Differences is, I’m older now of course and I’ve developed perspective. Still learning. I can’t quite...
turning japanese-SAH. (part 1)
So I’ve had this book for almost 4 years now, which is a book on teaching you how to learn Japanese. It’s actually called Japanese for Busy People. I’ve been meaning to build up myself to spend a week or so going through it and of course, learn Japanese. I also plan to download the program Rosetta Stone, which apparently teaches people from NASA other languages.
Why Japanese?...
about tonight.
Well well, cant see much hope for tonight. everyone seems to decide they dont want to do anything at the very last minute. it is 11:25PM, and it’s at this time people decided to text me back telling me that they are all of a sudden to tired to do things, no money, blah blah. But of course they would be tired at this time. It is almost midnight, but what I don’t get is why they...
